is hit by something thrown from the crowd, knocked unconscious for 10 minutes and then eventually stretchered off with a bandage around his head.

What is wrong with people? Why do something like this and more importantly how the hell do you stop it happening again?

Oh, and the person that did it should be banned from any football ground for life!!

Yes, you're right. They should face criminal charges as well.

It's the bloody idiots like that that will spoil it for us all in the end.

They banned big fences for crowd safety, they may have to install them for official safety. :pff

But seriously these so called fans must realise that doing something like that only has a negative effect on their club. Applies to BFC pitch invaders v. Leeds. Personally I've got nothing against that as long as it's not malicious but the rules say it will be punished so why do these things?

    That

has got to be a wind up young 'un?

You can't surely mean that chucking an half cheggar at the fourth official rendering him unconcious for ten minutes is raw emotion....more like raw thuggery from someone hiding in a crowd.

Wouldn't surprise me if some form of netting was put around pitches so that nothing can be thrown at the players/officials. It might prevent the pitch invasions too :pff
