Regardless of what happens this season i don't think the chairman will give either of them a new contract. If we go down the chairman will say they took us as far as they can. If we stay up he will be thinking what an attractive oposition we are for a more experienced manager. Rightly or wrongly i think it is going to happen.
RE: it's true I have heard that Gordon Brown fancies it and he's been making mischief behind the scenes.
You bet me to that! I think he means we would be able to attract a "big name" as a manager because that obviously means we will be more successful under the new manager - NOT. "If it ain't broke , don't fix it!" We could do with a few more players because we have a first team but not a proper squad.
Not Saying Ritchie Should Go He is doing a grand job with no money of note and their is no evidence a "more experienced" manager would do well for us. The money would still not be there and they are use to having money to spend. I simply cannot think of another reason why they have not been given a contract for another year to the end of 2007/08 season.
It would be a good idea to get contracts sorted now for the management and the team but only The Chairman and Directors know why they are waiting. There must be a reason so we will have to be patient and let everyone get on with their own jobs. I'm sure things will be sorted soon enough.
Is in their own hands, what is worrying is sombody coming in for them, if that happens we shall be in the proverbial mire
