With 2015 around the corner that obviously sparks off a conversation for people who were fans of the Back To The Future films.

I was only a young 'en in the 80's but from what I can remember there isn't a great deal that's different? I'm not sure what I expected, obviously the internet is a big thing, even when I first used it in about 95 it seemed something of a geeks toy rather than become the thing it has today, I didn't imagine we'd be accessing it from mobile phones in the way we do.

Other than that - tele's are bigger and thinner and the picture is better, although the standard of programming is much worse in my opinion.

Do we seem as advanced as you thought we would be by this stage or does not a lot seem to have changed?

On behalf of the Doom Mongers, I'd just like to say: "There is no future!"

Have a Happy New Year, all the same!

If you have a smart phone you have more processing power in your palm than supercomputers had in the 80's

Medicine and science have advanced immeasurably
