Apparently they've upgraded the speed, but the modem you have prob isn't good enough.. We had same problem..

They sent us new modem and lowered charge to 9.99 per month and it's now much faster !!

We got sent a new livebox.. Bit bigger than the last, but don't mind so long as it works !!

We were having trouble for about 2 weeks before we phoned them up. Saw on the orange webite that they were doing some upgrades so hoped it would better itself.. As soon as it got to tea time it kept disconnecting and was like it most of the evening too..

At first they just tried to reduce our monthly direct debit, but we kept telling them we didn't care so much about the cost, we just wanted to be able to use the bloody internet without the connection constantly breaking..

Had a bit of trouble with the Indian call centres to start with, but eventually got through to a bloke in England who was really friendly, he stopped our monthly direct debit until the problem was sorted, and reduced the cost after that to 9.99 permanently so long as we signed up for another 6 months.

That was about 4 week ago no and it's been great since..

    Hope this helps !!

I was with Ornage for 3 years and never had a problem until this year. Lost the service in Feb and spent a week calling them up, talking to half of India and line testing etc.

Sometimes I got British people and they were unhelful and rude - even putting the phone down on me.

The service never came back - so jumped ship and gave notice.

Now happily hooked up with Sky - dead easy and much much cheaper too.

If you want my advice - get out of your Orange contract now - They are an absolute disgrace and I would never touch them again.
