That has to be one of the worst performances in a long long time. When you look back on the game today you can see how small our squad realy is. There is no depth in our defence at all, one or two injuries and we are going to struggle it's as simple as that. To make their keeper save one shot all game says it all to be honest, we have nothing going forward and yet we knew this last season and still have not sorted this. Ratings aniway as follows : Davey - (6) Picked the right team but just does not seem to get the best of our players, what is he playing at with Jamal unreal! To put him at right back and our actual right back at left back has juts left me stunned to say the least. Hassell - (5) Got beat far far too easy at times and let their wingers have too much room to pick their cross and just cause us danger in general realy. Kozluck - (4) Very much the same to Hassell, two poor challenges and got what he deserved in the end! Sounds like he won't be getting back in the team for a long time, which is fair enough on davey's part. Moore - (6) Not sure if he was fit enough to play in the first place but looked very unstable at times and was poor at times. Foster - (7) Looked steady away for most of the game and was put under pressure by our full backs being poor. JCR - (5) Another poor performance from Jamal and at times did not look like he was bothard, could very well be gone before the end of the transfer window. I would not pick him on Tuesday. Hammill - (6) Tried his best to get into the game but just did not see enough of the ball. Butterfield - (6) Showed some decent passing once or twice but I thought the game passed him by for much of the game. Anderson - (7) Thought he did ok for most of the game apart from a few sloppy passes not sure what he can do in a poor team. Macken - (5) Never got into the game, some nice touches once or twice but could do with someone better if we are to progress. No service at all. Boggy - (5) Very much the same as macken apart from the nice touches, lack of service was a big problem! A very poor performance and if we keep seeing this then another relegation scrap it will be towards the end of the season once again!
I do not understand the Macken situation. With him in the side we are always going to be slow and deliberate in our build up play. We were the same last season, and the one before. Any half-decent manager, such as Chris Coleman, is going to nullify the threat through midfield by squeezing up and compacting the space, safe in the knowledge that the ball over the top is no danger. Another season of struggle ahead unfortunately.
Same playing staff as LAST season (Hammill included) Without significant improvements to the squad, the end result was going to be the same.
Can't understand why he singed or we even offered him a new contract in the first place to be honest, we could have used his wages to get a proper left footed left back which BFC have been needing for a long time!
