Worth it to see Warnock have a whinge! Wonder if it was the same ref as this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0YiuSbBdaQ&feature=related
He's a ******. But he's 100% spot on. Agreed with every word. If they'd have had the old style netting (not the box netting), then it might not have happened. Ah, it's a funny old game.
Ludicrous It's the sort of thing that could have happened to anyone especially us. If it had then I'm sure none of us would have found it funny.
Warnock is spot on. The officials do now need help. Decisions that require assessment, such as penalties, fowls, sendings off etc are fair enough, but if we are down to situations where four people cannot decide which side of a post a ball has crossed, then something has to be done, especially when the consequences could mean the difference between possible promotion or relegation.

Dunt need technology.. just loosen the nets The goals nets are strung tighter than a tennis racket nowadays. There doesn't seem to be any give in the nets. When I used to play local footy (I know many moons ago) The netting was all loose and the ball used to stay in the back of the net (many times in a game when I played in goal)
Didn't hit the net though... ... hit the woodwork at the back. If the technology is there they should use it. Blatter is a first order pillock.
RE: I think it hit.... Different clubs have different set ups. I seem to remember at Upton Park the backof the net was about a foot behind the goal line. Used to cause all kinds of problems. There's nowt new about Setdi's debacle.
I thought... that the nets could only have the post, crossbar and stanchions at the back. Wrong obviosly like! If those nets were outlawed there would not be an issue. As you said, the ball used to "bulge" the net and stay in it!
RE: I thought... Don't know whether you're wrong or not. Just that it's about time the technology was used.
better one here... ...defender even catches the ball and hands it to the keeper and ref says play on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKuLtLXl7FI
What a joke that is I can't for the life of me think what the referee reckons has happened there. The advertising boards are miles behind the goal. Remember when Le Tissier I think it was had one disallowed at The Dell when it hit the back of the net which was set right back to said advertising boards and it came back out and everyone just played in, there was barely an appeal I don't think.
They shouldn't have They should have been honest and when they ran over to the linesman they should have had the balls to say look it went in not wide. No need to let them score at the other end because the game had not restarted and the decision could have been reversed. I also feel that the linesman near the dugout who allegedly lied to neil warnock should be sacked and never allowed to officiate again
It isn't but its the same ref that failed to follow the rules at least twice last season with us against QPR at home. first one was when mifsud was brought down by the last man on the edge of the box and the ref gave the foul but didnt send him off and the second one was when their player swang an arm at andersons face while they were stood still. the ref saw the incident and gave the free kick but didnt even book their player.
What was it whinging warnock said about humes assault, he ran into morgans elbow, these things happen in football, you just have to get on with it. Well neil the goal wasnt given, the ball just ran out of the net, the officials didnt see it because your the palace manager and nobody likes you so stop moaning and get on with it (dancin) (dancin) (dancin)
what annoyed me was the way Bristol City tried to rationalise it be saying the 'same thing' had happened to them a couple of times last year and had good goals disallowed by dodgy offside decisions err no its not the same at all one to me is blatant cheating and the others just human error within the normal terms of the game! oh and the executive saying that Warnock was always whinging, well in this case he had a bloody good cause to
