What a game as a spectacle, but the most worrying thing was if you were a neutral could you tell the teams were 2 divisions apart ???? NO !!!

I have been quick to diss the bloke but hats off to Dagnall today, he did nothing on the pitch of any note apart from 2 excellent finishes, his second goal in particular was a gem, so full praise to him even though I still do not rate him but credit where credit is due to the man and he deserves full praise.

Stones apart we were simply terrible at the back and very poor up front, Hill needs a big centre half and another centre forward desperately, Rochdale were 2 dvisions below us but we strugggled at times against them and it was very even. (Sonko and Harewood please !!)

Bobby Hassell was an absolute legend, in fact f*ck Alnwick off and play Bobby in goal instead, several excellent saves particularly in the last moments that any goalie would have been proud of.

Hill needs to strengthen at the back asap because that defence will get p*ssed on every week when we play the championship misters.

One last thing, our support today was fantastic, to say it was just a round one league cup game we took big numbers and were very vocal at times.

All in all an excellent win against a banana skin, we did win the game but big alarm bells need to ring in Hlls ears because at the back and going forward we are miles away and this needs sorting very quickly.

Just back missen - went into Oldham for some food and beer. Got to agree Wath, it was one of those games that you never forget. I hope today's game was a turning point for Daggers, I was so pleased for him. Stones is quality and Sir Bobby has cemented his place as a Barnsley legend. Even Tyrone will have to concede this now.

Sir Bobby was amazing - why does he not start the game ????

Rollercoaster of a game, fantastic win, but take the rose coloured spectacles off and we are in big trouble with that defence

Hill has all Summer to sort out the back four and the clock is ticking

It was alarming at times; a half decent championship side would have been two up before we woke up. That free header in the six yard box should have been their second. A win is a win though so hopefully we can build on it. There is still a week and I think we will be signing Sonko this week.
