I don't think they'll sell anything like that. Yet they can buy them anywhere in that half of the ground. They're going to be all spread out. We'll be all together, cos we're selling in blocks.
Oxford supporters and the wiki page quote that they sold 33,000 on their last visit to Wembley in 2010. But the overall attendance was 42,669, this York newspaper article says York had sold 12,000 two weeks before the game, so they can't have had 30,000 there. http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/4328330.display/?action=complain&cid=7673159 We flogged 32,600 (sell out) and 36k for our two Wembley visits, albeit for much bigger games. They've flogged 7,436 so far.
They are obsessed with their mythos of how big of a team they are.. THEIR GROUND HAS 3 STANDS for goodness sake (and they don't fill them).
Pretty similar moans and groans on their forums, although they're obviously a bit further along the process. It's all 'my card hasn't been charged' or 'my tickets haven't arrived'.... But then I found this, in an exchange about the discrepancy in the two clubs' concessions age categories; "I'd imagine a 65 year old from Oxfordshire to be the equivalent health-wise and probably better off financially than a 60 year old from Barnsley." Nowt like a bit of patronising generalisation to get my back right up, the chippy *****
They used to be massive though, in fact they were that big there old ground had about ten stands, sithi.
