    Agreed

Nice to see someone challenging the "orthodoxy" as they put it. All we hear about in the media is that humans are causing it. Makes a change to see an alternative point of view.

Why arn't the green house gases that apparently cause global warming escaping through the alleged hole in the ozone lair. Just a thought

You'd have to be wilfully ignorant to believe we have no effect on it. Chances are it's a massive effect. Still even if it was a small oneyou'd have to think we'd be better off doing our bit to stop it.

    too true

Where were the 4x4's the last time we had an ice age?

It's another tax and they hope will go unchallenged.

    Depends really

How long before it really takes effect? 50 years? 100 years?
How many people take the view that they won't be around then anyway?

    It's already taking effect.

"How many people take the view that they won't be around then anyway?"

Presumably the ones not having kids?

so the fact that there has been "ice age" and then "desert phase" and then "ice age" etc etc

    never comes into it.

Of course it is a swindle to tax us on everything else that they hadn't done already.

Yes, we contribute, but the fact that is is always left out that there is a natural cycle of the world defies belief.

    I'm doing my bit

Apparently it will mean half of london gone, a coastline at donny and a climate like the south of france.

My car's on the drive with a brick on the accelerator as we speak.

4x4? You need to start thinking bigger

I've bought an old Barnsley and district bus which is constantly revved up and am going to start commuting to work by light aircraft.

A plan to tax people that all the world's most repsected scientists are in on?

David Bellamy and several other scientists have been stating that its a natural ocurrence for years. the press however prefer to print what the government scientists say. No doubt the MPs have shares in wind turbines etc. just as they have shares in transport companies.

Humans are little more more than parasites living on the back of the planet. The problem is that there are, or soon will be, simply too many of us alive for the planet to support, regardless of how 'green we become'.

We are causing the problems in my view, but it will make little difference. Wait until there are mass exoduses of people looking for water and food. Daily Mail will have a field day.

The vast majority of scientists don't work for the government and say the opposite. How's that work then?

Clean drinking water is gonna be a major issue.

Its one of the reasons that the Israel problem is struggling to resolve itself as the underground lake they use is mainly under the Golan Heights.
