In a long, long time. Dominic Dyer lets rip on the badger cull. Last Saturday from a park bench in Whitney - David Cameron's constituency. Set aside half hour for this absolute barnstorm on the Tories and British farmers war on our wildlife. An amazing piece of public speaking, watch and learn.

Half an hour, without notes, as structured and eloquent as that. Bloody impressive whatever the subject. And not just an attack on the policy, but viable alternatives offered.

    You're right, it's brilliant.

Your comment is irrelevant. It is obvious you have no knowledge of this issue nor the inclination to find out. By that methodology, you are the sort of person who stands by and allows who knows what kind of **** to go on. Don't be watching my back in a crisis, is all I can say.

Totally agree mate. Like the Chris Packham article on the eve of the cull, I think it works better when you have truth, morality and scientific facts on your side.

If you haven't watched it yet, this is a more interesting edit. It includes Dominic's full speech un-edited with some footage of the march with good old middle England saying fck you Cameron in it's own charming little way. :)

te fact he has no notes is the most imressive thing about that

to me it shows a man who has totally researched and understood the subject. It also shows a man of great intellect too, not to mention passion. Not many men through history have been able to do what that man has done in this video, without notes or autocue or prompters. He may well have sat down and written it all down and then kinda learned his lines as such, he has to have made some sort of frame for his speech. But the way he added flesh to its bones effortlessly was awesome. I have never really looked into the cull deeply, but had suspected something was not quite right about it. I accept culls of various species are maybe needed, be it whatever animal... and I include plants bacteria etc etc in that. But for me there is one infestation that this planet that should culled/ limited.... its us.... MANKIND, the worst species that ever happened to this beautiful world.

Well said. Obviously with the cull on-going, Dominic is making such speeches on a regular basis, likely tailored to suit an audience. Here he is preaching to the converted and very much his people, but still enormously compelling. I posted this on facebook and everyone who replied said the were just riveted to it from the start and stayed the whole half hour, fully informed and convinced of the corrupt brutality of the cull.

I have said all along I would love to see a live one-on-one with Dominic and Owen Patterson or even Dave Cameron himself. Or both even, Dom would destroy them, either way.

He is the the kind of person who in an ideal world, would be Secretary for the Environment. But I don't really believe that could ever happen. He has to be active on the outside rather than become corrupted by the inner sanctum of politics.

We're in Brighton on the 3rd November if anyone is down that way.

no way would a guy like him ever get that position..

secretary of the Environment that is.

Because he tells it too much like it is, and the various party benefactors would never ever like that.
