Should be a good gig. Saw them support The Enemy last month at leadmill and thought they were really impressive.

Would you put on a more pop style band/group or is it always going to be the same kind of music?

But who are you to call it crap just because it isn't to your personal taste? What happened to offering variety?

Why the hell would we want to put on cheesy pop, that's for children.

I called it crap cos cheesy pop is mainly talentless well marketed mimed rubbish.

A challenge for you then, enter the next pop idol and see how far you get. You'll get quite far wont you? What with it not requiring any talent.

My point was just that you seem to be attempting to offer some variety in music in barnsley but only offering the one kind of music.

Yes all the bands i booked have 2 guitarists, a lead singer and a drummer. and sound like oasis. You go see Journey South at Chicago Rock, them who came second in X Factor.

If you are that concerned about the serious lack of pop on offer in Barnsley get yourself a night and start promoting as you seem to know all about it.

I don't want to go watch the poppy kind of music, I was just asking in general whether you had any plans for something different to what you do week in week out at the moment. I didn't just mean pop, I meant dance, pop, rock, everything really. If you wan't the arches to be the best place for music in barnsley then what can it hurt to offer a few 'one off' nights offering something different to what you usually do?

Is there anywhere in barnsley that has different kinds of music on the same night?

    Mondays - Under 18s bands
Tuesdays - Under 18 Extreme bands
Wednesdays - All sorts of differents bands
Thursdays - nothing at the moment
    Fridays - Indie/Rock/Alt/Electro
Saturdays - BOMNights with all sorts of local bands, SKA Bar with crazy bands from all over the place
Sundays - Open Mic where anyone can get up and play whatever they want from Country to Blues to one man and a banjo

If thats one type of music then i'm a dee dar
