    ...but I don't think it's your usual viewing material mate - you may have your wires crossed!

    On a serious note the film is supposed to be quite good too - may watch it when it comes out on DVD...

    Written by Alan Bennett, who is from Leeds, so I reckon he relocated it to Sheffield, so that there could not be any attempt to link it with Bennett's school days. I was concerned that part of the underlying message might have been interpreted that a good teacher is worth his weight in gold, even if he gropes under-age boys. I don't think that is a very good message to give and you do gain some sympathy for the 'off-beat' teacher. Not sure what Bennett's real message was, but it is well worth watching. Well acted.
