How do the supporters of high moral values who are boycotting the game at M.K. feel about going to watch games at clubs who are funded/bankrolled by -

    1) the slave labour of factory workers in India/Malaya
    2) the rulers of countries with an appalling record re. human rights
    3) owners who have made money by very dubious means
    4) capitalists whose one aim is to make more money.

They're big enough, ugly enough, and stupid enough to be entitled to their own opinion.

Respect theirs and I'm sure they'll respect yours. Sorted.

Give me examples of each of those clubs. For each category.

So you're not allowed to make a moral judgment about one thing because there are other things that you've chosen not to make entirely separate moral judgments about? I like this - it means that everybody who makes a moral judgment about anything can be legitimately called a hypocrite.

On the other hand, you could accept that people have opinions. Some of them you agree with, and some of them you don't agree with. But it should be possible to voice and discuss any of them without the argument being reduced to either stupid attacks (which I'm not accusing you of) or insultingly arse-backward logic.

For a few days now I've been intrigued about your avatar and the short shrift you've given people who are going to boycott our fifth round draw. Genuine question - how do you think the majority of St Pauli fans would feel about the history of Wimbledon and MK Dons?

3 and 4 apply to the bloke who took Wimbledon's clun away from them. My stance is that if some git from a town sixty miles away rolled into town and ended up taking our club back to his town to set up, change our identity and basically killing our club I'd be gutted and very angry.

Honest answer - I have no opinion on that at all. I'm not a spokesman for St.Pauli. I'm not mocking anyone for their beliefs. If anything, i'm merely trying to lighten things up. Bottom line is I don't care about MK Dons. If we get franchised to move 100 miles down the road, i'll get interested. Until then, i'm just gonna go and watch my Club play football

Fair enough. I just thought it was odd - as far as I'm aware the club consider themselves to embody (amongst other things) sporting authenticity, and I can't imagine that many of the people who follow them would consider that to begin and end with their own club.

got enough on my plate and in my life to worry about my own Club right now. What they did shouldn't have happened, but it did. Years ago. I'm just not that bothered. Certainly not bothered enough to choose them over my own Club.

What about the hypocrisy of someone who asks this question?

"I know Wimbledon F.C. was relocated the 64 miles to Milton Keynes and the club is now known as M.K.Dons.
But why are some folk going to boycott the Barnsley F.C./M.K. Dons F.A.C. match."

They then ignore the reasons given and post this:

"How do the supporters of high moral values who are boycotting the game at M.K. feel about going to watch games at clubs who are funded/bankrolled by -

    1) the slave labour of factory workers in India/Malaya
    2) the rulers of countries with an appalling record re. human rights
    3) owners who have made money by very dubious means
    4) capitalists whose one aim is to make more money."

I take it that you aren't a supporter with high moral values for starters.

You ought to also learn the meaning of the word hypocrisy. You have clearly demonstrated it whereas MK Dons boycotters clearly haven't.

All I have done is state that I will never set foot in their stadium - and with good reasons. I am surprised that so many people are willing to ignore the past - although I would agree that this is somewhat naive.

I haven't decided myself whether I'll go or not, but it's a matter of solidarity.

I certainly think that those who are boycotting have a point. Even if I decide to go, I still respect that.
