The 'I haven't seen us play yet but I know we're ****' thread

Just thought I'd create a place for everyone who's slagging the club/the team/the players/Davey off but who hasn't actually seen us play yet.</p>

Then you can all agree just how **** we are and have a lovely time

Personally, I'm going to wait until I've seen a few games to have a decent (ish) opinion on what's going on, not just after 2 fecking games</p>

Oh come on, we had some cracking games last season. Granted I only made 15-20 but I saw some really good performances.</p>

And it's a NEW season, we have NEW players. Give 'em a chance ffs</p>

 

Yes and we still have Mr Hassell in CM ffs!!

 

Well correct me if I'm wrong, but did Davey not sign a defensive midfielder this summer? But oh no wait, the fact he hasn't got clearance AND was injured is Davey's fault.</p>

Now, if he won't be available/ready for a while, then I agree, a replacement is needed.</p>

But all this ridiculous doom and gloom is pissing me off</p>

 

Played 2.

Lost 2.

Scored 1.

Conceded 4.

Same tactics as last season.

Do you really need to have been there to realise that's ****?

Apart from 2 games in the cup the second half of last season was diabolical.

Pre-season has been diabolical.

I might start a thread. The "I'll keep waiting til Odejayi gets his confidence back and Davey becomes a good manager thread cos I'm willing to put up with rubbish indefinately despite the fact I pay these people's wages with my own hard earned cash"

And anyway, I'm pretty sure there's been some fairly positive comments coming from many who actually went to the games (perhaps not so much Crewe).</p>

Maybe it will be a long, hard season, but we're in a VERY tough league, with plenty of very decent teams, and as fans of Barnsley FC, we should try and SUPPORT the team. I don't know, just a thought like...</p>

I think we have to accept 2 games down (with plenty of players missing) and we're a **** team, who are clearly destined for relegation.</p>

I didn't go any England games but I know they were crap.

I didn't go to any Colchester games last season but I'm pretty sure they were crap.

I didn't go any Derby games last season but I have a hunch they weren't the best.

2 games, 2 defeats. One against a league 1 team. I'm guessing we haven't been great.

You will see saturday why everyone is so pissed off, players playing out of position is completely ruining our side.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but were the Colchester/Derby opinions formed after a FULL season in their respective leagues or just simply after 2 games?</p>

See I can understand the frustrations, I'm in the same boat. But what I don't understand is the ridiculous defeatism showed by most. We've lost 2 games therefore the season is over, we're relegated already, Davey out by Christmas etc etc etc.</p>

There are players to come back still, and whatever people say, they WILL make a difference. The midfield was infinitely stronger with De Silva in it, and he will help protect the back 4 much more. Get JCR back on the wing and we'll be a much greater threat. And Muller is clearly one of the best in the league

You're right, but my opinion is based upon the events of last season, this pre-season and the first two games of this season.

Now, my main grievance is with Davey not with the individual players.

There will always be fans who believe in blind support. There will also be fans who constantly moan. Then somewhere in between, there are fans like me who believe they have a right to critically assess the results of the team and the performance of the club's employees.

My critical assessment is that Davey is turd and arrogant or just very stupid.

The fans who blindly follow are the ones on here who excused the atrocious second half of last season with the cup run. The same fans said that after we started pre-season poorly we would be better as the we got fitter and closer to the new season. Wigan then twatted us 6-0.

The same fans said that friendlies are friendlies and we'd be OK once the season started. Then we had QPR... and then we had CREWE!!!

Now the same fans are saying wait for the home game against Cov. I hope you're right and we give them a right pasting on Saturday.

There's only realy Hassell that playing out of position the other players should be able to cover those positions anyway, and Foster is in his strongest
position.

 

I agree. I watched at Crewe last night and even though we were beaten and our attack was farcical we bossed the game. If we can sort attack out maybe we can string some results together. But I was amazed by the amount of mornge and moan that was going off. People are supposed to get behind the team not moan and whinge about every single thing. Even when we win the consensus is "Won't last. We're **** and we'll bottle it."

Try supporting the team for a change. And try watching them more often.

Its not just these 2 games, its the last 6 months apart from the cup games. We look no better away from home, no new ideas. Everyone there last night could have called the subs he would make 20 mins before he made them and everyone knows that it never ever works, its all so predictable and ****. I think Davey would have been given far more respect if he had just come out and admitted he was wrong about Kayode and Hassell in midfield, given Johnson and Mostto a chance despite what he may think of them personally but he wont because he is too arrogant to admit being wrong and thats why we will struggle this season.

 

I've watched them for 17 years, cheers.
