with everyone back in our box Bradfud could & shoul have score 3 goals out their first 4 corners. Then when we have a corner, Bradford leave 2 men on the half way line, meanin we have to leave 3 -4 men back. It's not Rocket science Ritchie. FFS

    it's tactically stupid

I dont think he has got to the set pieces section of his big book of football tactics yet as he never seems to adopt any.

Every corner we are defending he brings everyone back meaning we have no outlet and if we do manage to win the ball we just it it up the pitch for one of their defenders to collect it and put it straight back in. Why is the midget chris shuker defending corners? He isnt likely to win many headers is he.

When we have a corner we hit it to the front post just about every time and 99% of the time it is cleared. We have even tried putting the ball to the front post when we havent even had a player on that post. Is this some new tactic that I am yet to see anywhere else?

And when we get a freekick 20 yards out we always try the same thing, slow looped ball into the box where all our players are stood in a big group. Stephen mcphail has one of the best left foots in the league apparently so why isnt ritchie telling him to bang it into the top corner from free kicks?
Take yesterday for an example, we had a freekick out wide and the ball was rolled across for shuker who hit it miles of target. Even if he had got it in the general direction of the net it would have to have been some shot because the entire face of the goal was covered in red shirts that were all seemingle superglued together. There was no need for bradford to defend the freekick because we formed our own wall for them to save them the effort. We dont spread out and give ourselves enough options from freekicks. More often than not we dont leave anyone on the far side so that if the cross is long then we can whip it back in.

It needs sorting quickly because it is costing us chances at one end and putting us under pressure at the other.

In a nutshell..totally agree. If we were defending the corners I can(to a certain extent)live with it.However, they could & should've scored from 3 corners in the first half alone.

Perhaps it's only a tactic, if it works

It's total negative for us, without any plus points whatsoever

The way we conceded would imply we didnt have enough men back.

maybe we had too many back?

and certain players assumed someone else would clear it?

    Bring back Mick McCarthy

He could defend a corner kick on his todd!
