Nothing confirmed but got a text this morning from a mate who said he'd heard a rumor that negotiations to get The Jam back together for a tour were at an early stage. This would be brilliant if this could happen; i'd pay a small fortune for tickets. Personally I just dont see Weller being up for it but you never know. I'm sure Foxton and Buckler would be well up for it.
    Has anyone else heard anything?

My mates mrs is best mates with Pauls Mrs and according to him, there's more chance of snow in August than there is of those 3 getting back together. As far as I know all the rumours are down to Foxton and Butlers who have quite publically stated they would love to get back together fpor a gig or 2 but then they need the money, Paul doesn't. Besides, who needs Foxton and Butler when Paul now plays selected tracks from the Jam back catalogue as part of the setlist at his solo gigis?

I agree, as i said i think it would suit the other two more than Weller.
    PS, Its Buckler not Butler.

Cool! We shall watch this space then! Doubt it will materialise but would be nice! I guess The Enemy will have to do for now then! They are pretty good tho live, despite being very Jam like!

Saw Madness on the telly when they did Glasto and they were spot on! Always wanted to go to Madstock but the rest of the bill is usually bobbins!

When reforming goes very right - The Pixies

Saw them last night at Brixton - they rocked like it was 1989 again .....
The Jam would be amazing though, although Weller playing English Rose live always gets me and Going Underground at Brixton earlier this year caped off a great night.

Buckler and Foxton have already reformed under the name 'From the Jam' with a very good weller impersonator who sounds/looks just like him.

Got videos on youtube etc, looks good (Y)

Is it him who was in the tribute band The Jamm - cos he was a dead ringer and pretty good at taking off Weller aswell!
