http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/pubfinder/details.php?OutletNumber=694 The outside bit round the back looks really good. And, according to the Wetherspoons website its going to be a non-smoking pub. Cheapish beer and no smoke. Woohoo. Now if only the rest of town would follow their lead.
It looks good from outside. Howver, It'll be a Lloyd's No.1 bar which aren't cheap like Wetherspoons. Be nice to have somewhere else in town that serve a decent pint though.
Orchard Brewery Below where Currys used to be. They have also built a large courtyard in Grahams Orchard HTH, Stephen
Still much cheaper than the town centre "norm" Going on the one in Basingstoke town centre, where it's £1.75 for any of the 3 real ales on. The bottle bar is more expensive - Alcopops were around the £3 mark. But if you'd rather pay £3 for a bottle of mildly alcoholic fizzy orange ahead of £1.75 for a pint of Abbot, more fool you.
oh, yes I've seen the kettle things throught the front. I always thought that a micro-type-brewery should have done better in tarn. I think I had a couple in there a few years ago. Don't you enter from the back lane? (so to speak)
RE: Still much cheaper than the town centre "norm" As long as they serve a better pint than the one in Newcastle, had a pint of, what they said was, Abbott!
