We never do things the comfortable way. I don't believe anyone connected with our club (fans, players, coaches, staff, owner alike) won't be feeling the same anger and frustration at how the game ended yesterday. However, I won't call into question the attitude and commitment of anyone because of it. What happened doesn't erase the huge contribution made by these lads, especially since Christmas. I agree with what a number of posters have said with regards to some of the players appearing to be running on empty. Perhaps the injuries we've picked up are also contributing to this. If White and Watkins were fit and available (for example), thus allowing Scowen to be moved into midfield, this could have refreshed the team enough to make a difference. I don't know. What I do believe is that if the players are now struggling with form, for whatever reason, they've earned the respect and backing from us to help them over the finishing line after everything they've done for the club in turning things around. The season isn't over and we're still in a Play Off position. Everything is still to play for.
We must have been writing posts at the same time............spooky Totally agree, its great being a Barnsley fan COYR
Why do it the easy way when you can do it the Barnsley way? No wonder you've gone bald my old friend hehe.
Totally agree with this JLB. The players looked absolutely gutted when they came out for the lap of honour yesterday. I've got no issue with a single one of them they've had a brilliant run. Hopefully the disappointment of yesterday can serve to galvanise them for one last push.
Who needs an imagination when you have eBay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LONG-RAST...314465?hash=item2c98a1ff21:g:HkMAAOSwrklVCbnO
Agree 100% mate. The goal looked to be the result of tired legs and maybe a little bit of thinking the game was won - and who wouldn't, we all thought it was.
Gi'oeer thi talkin sense! It's all in our hands. Who back in December would have taken a comfortable midtable finish? I would have! Anything more is a bonus. Playoffs a dream.
I would have to see that even the most pesimistic pesimist called Mr Pesimist would not have seen that coming yesterday. Even my bounce back time was about three hours. Still, the fat lady has not yet sung.
How right you are. I hate being a Barnsley fan after days like yesterday, only have to replay it in my mind and my heart hurts! Then I think of JPT at Wembley and I love being a Reds fan. Life would certainly be easier if we didn't support them but how boring that would be...I think!
Top post - after wadding through a lot of negative stuff. Of course that goal took the shine off the day. But was it worth driving 12 hours plus for my last fix of super reds for a few years? Hell yes! Just sorry I did not arrive in time to meet up with Jay for a pint.
