    It's difficult to understand the verdict given that Kirby saw the incident, but it was unanimous and quick. I guess the evidence as to the nature of the contact didn't meet the required threshold for the charge.

    It isn't on camera is it? I thought the camera just recorded Barton effing and jeffing in the technical area. all that was on camera was CCTV footage of the tunnel shaking after Joey Barton had run into it.

    I wonder if the Bristol Rovers people will sack him now, having brought their club into serious disrepute.

    I won't hold my breath. What a pity they got knocked out of the cup. A Third Round home match with them would have been interesting
