I can't see the resemblance to Old Trafford unless Ryan meant Man Utd's academy ground.

'Nice and Small', 'Not sure about it being ok for Destination Championship though'

Did any of you actually go? I did and in my Barnsley shirt, which didn't go down too well. Your comments sound like they're coming from bitter, twisted, and jealous junior school kids. The stadium is a nice stadium, far too nice for the arrogant shites who follow Donny Rovers, nevertheless the stadium is every bit as good as Oakwell, in some respects better. It's only got a 15,000 capacity, but at least they've seen fit not to build a 30,000 seated stadium for 6,000 fans.
Say what you like about the team, supporters (diddycoys, scum, pikeys) but you're going to sound like a bunch of envious t***s if you're going down the stadium swiping road. For £32million you're not going to get crap and we've got to learn to live with with. So the shisters down the road have got a decent stadium. Welcome to the fekking 21st century.

You are going for irony aren't you?

"Your comments sound like they're coming from bitter, twisted, and jealous junior school kids. The stadium is a nice stadium, far too nice for the arrogant shites who follow Donny Rovers"

Because you don't sound at all bitter and twisted there do you, calling them "arrogant shites"!

I didn't criticise per se, I said it was a nice stadium which it is, but was it big enough if they are aiming higher in football's hierarchy?

I've got no time for Donny fans. They've got a bit of money behind them and all of a sudden they're potential premiership candidates. I call that arrogant. They might well have a stint in the championship but at best they'll only be an average team in that league, and the 15,800 stadium capacity or whatever it is should be adequate for them. If we finished mid table we'd only average 14,000 at most and it would serve us. All this motor mouthing done by their chairman and fans is just to wind us and others up. If they were serious about reaching premiership status they would have built a much larger stadium.

£32,000,000 for the new stadium and all paid for by Doncaster MBC, or by the rate payers at least. On behalf of all Rovers fans can I express my heart felt thanks to all barnsley fans living within the confines of the Borough of Doncasterfor your contribution.

    well it is expandable

thats how they are all made nowadays....the roofs will come off to allow more tiers to be added..if or when success comes..... we were offered land to do similar up Dodworth way a good few years back and then we could have had the same set up for just 2 million Ish....FACT ask Alan Bloor, just think , we may never have gone in admin relegation etc etc ... and lets face it on average do we need much more capacity than what Donny now have now......... no Thought not!

    We will next setdi

    And we did against l**ds

and we did in the prem

    and the year after

    and the year after that

    and in the eighties

Lets face it, had we a capacity of 25k in the prem we would likely have filled it 9 or 10 times. Then where would we have been with the additional revenue?
