Consistency, and seemingly, we're churning out consistent performances each week. We've won 4 from the last 5, and even in the Brighton defeat we gave a decent performance, and whilst we keep performing like this, there's only one way we can go, UP. Goals, something we've lacked severely over the past few years, and even as recent as earlier on this season; the key isn't one man who can score 15-20 a season, it's having 2 or 3 players with 10 goals. Davies is fast becomming the goalscorer we've been lacking, Butterfield has ended his drought for goals, which will hopefully spur him on to go on another run like earlier on in the season, and Ricardo Vaz Te, despite some of his criticisms, keeps chipping in. If we can score 30 goals between just these 3 players, and consistently pick up points, we won't be far off the play-offs come May. YOU REDS!!!
Good point about relying on just one striker not really being the answer - rather than consitency though i would say the key is having different options we now have those up front and in the middle and whilst at the start of the season all the opposition had to do was keep Butterfield quiet now thats not such a problem we have Obrien, Vas Te and Done all capable of creating something and scoring and Davies has a good all round game as well, with Haynes coming back to fitness and Ranger we have the best strike force we have seen for some time.- The one area we are a bit weak for cover and options to change things is at the back. 4 different scorers yesterday isnt bad going at all ps in Davies we might have found a 15-20 goal striker anyway
