Each to their own. You could probably throw a band or two at me that you like and my response might be that I'd rather get spleened than listen to their whole album
Its personal taste at the end of the day. I like them. I don't proclaim to be a music expert or a connoisseur but I know what I like. As Loko says, each to their own.
Went rapidly downhill after the 1st album once commercial radio started player their tracks. Razorlight Kaiser Chiefs Ordinary Boy's All went the same way
That crowd at T in the Park looked a lot more lively than the Glastonbury hippies. Must have been those Rolex e's..
Probably due to the fact there's less than half of them at T in the Park - and then half of those are Scottish, off their face on whisky and iron bru, and will have caught too much sun for their fair skin!
You've obviously not seen Hicksy's Glastonbury photos? You're a right kill joy these days you (grumpy from too many JLS concerts ......)
i knew you'd bite mate ! i was only there to see the beach boys !! my nipper actually thought the saturdays were good... there is no hope....
The Saturdays are in my top three 'must see' acts for V Festival ........ take from that what you will!
It's nothing to do with taste, bands are generally crap nowadays. British music especially, has regressed into puerile dogshit. I'm Baffled as to why, it's never been easier to record and release a record, I can only think it is TV's fault because they pull the strings now there is no money in record sales. Britpop is starting to look now, what the sixties looked like to the 90s. And the Killers? They couldn't write their way out of a wet paper bag. The one which basically re-wrote Queen Bitch? How they didn't get sued for that, I'll never know.
agree and disagree. there's an incredible amount of great music out there. when you look back at britpop, it really wasn't all that. half a dozen genuinely good bands, followed by a torrential wave of dross. like most musical eras so many incredible labels out there right now - secretly canadian, moshi moshi, captured tracks, DFA, fat possum, domino, bella union, PIAS, ATP, jagjaguwar, rough trade, list goes on..
I know, I have a record out on one of those. I was talking really about the mainstream and what's doing the festival circuit.
