    What about....

    Marc Richards?

    We desperately need a striker.

I'm not 100% sure but I think we may have offered him a contract.

Don't quote me on that though.

I'm assuming Blah Bar has left.

    Ritchie said

the other day on Radio Sheff that we were going to offer him a contract.

    Blah Blah has left.

The lad Tandy is a left winger isn't he? Devaney looked more comfortable on the right to me.

    Tandy's a left winger aye...

If you want more gossip (again from a supporter who heard a rumour) - Shuker could be off to Sheff Utd for £500k, and Devaney was signed to cover this. Tandy would then fill the left role if he signed alongside Howard...

For what it's worth, I can't see it, they already have Ifill and Gillespie!

We'll know by September 3rd anyway.

Can we still sign loanees after the window closes?

I notice Newcastle signed a striker.

Someone behind us in the Ponty earlier was saying that Flinders has had scouts from SIX premiership clubs watching him!

It closes on August 31st doesn't it?

Erm don't think we can do loans no, initially someone posted something which said we could, but apparently that was ballax.

The transfer window should be impaled on a stick.

    Well he's ours

    So they can sod off.

It'd be a false economy to sell. He's worth a far more to the team than financial renumeration and the price tag will be far more in 1 or 2 years' time.

I like Shuker, but he is certainly not good enough for a Top Championship club, which unfortunately Sheff Utd currently are.

Besides, if Sheff Utd wanted Shuker they could have got him in the summer when he was out of contract.

    I don't believe that rumour I'm afraid.

Sports journos around the country must feel hard done by

They'll have to get another job to cover the bills during the non-rumour period.

    Good job

He signed a three year contract this week then!

He's either going to be a very good keeper for us, or we get paid loads of money for him.

    A win/win situation. (Y)

Flinders may have signed that 3 year contract so that we get more money for him.

Not sur how that works but, that came from the guy sat behind me's gob!

    Is he Fast?

Mr Ritchie couldn't do anything today in terms of changing the pattern of play up front.

Why would Sheff Utd pay 500k for Shuker when

they could have signed him for nothing in the summer? He's only on a years contract and so could go for nothing again next summer.
