    My Chinese is ordered, and I've had a few Tuborgs. The wife is away for the weekend with a few of her mates, so I can sit in my own filth for about 48 hours before doing a panic tidy up on Sunday afternoon.

    I've had a fiver on Saka to score any time in tonight's footy, and I'm feeling content.

    What are we all doing this evening?

    I've had a curry with a beer and I'm currently reclined listening to the Arsenal game on the radio. Trying to muster some energy to get to bed where my book and some John Coltrane awaits.

    It's finally the holidays. With my colleague being off with Covid for the last 2 and a half weeks of half term, I've been having to do overtime every day to cover before and after school, plus run the library alone. Not easy when we can have over 200 and odd in at once at times, with behaviour to be managed, books to be discussed/borrowed/returned, homework to be assisted with etc. during those times, plus everything else when they are in lessons. But now I get to switch my 5:45am alarm off for a week and not have to do the hour commute each way. Bliss.
