It was vital that we got off to a good start today, if only to shake off that losing mentality we picked up last season. Pre season was disappointing, and we seem to have grown some bad habits. A lot of you don't think pre season friendlies are worthwhile, but i disagree, especially after the pathetic season we had last term. We should have been looking to get that winning mentality back through the pre season friendlies. Unfortunately we were late doing our business with regards to bringing people in to the club, so that hasn't helped things. I just fear that after this loss today, it will be hard to pick the players heads up. Luckily we are only one game in, and the team still need time to gel, lets hope they do it fast, otherwise we could be struggling to survive again, but a league lower. One things for sure, if nothing has changed 10-15 games into the season, then its curtains for Wilson.
sorry fella but I think thats wrong you are more than entitled to your opinion but today there were just 3 players on the pitch that started from last season. Cranie , Nyatanga and Jennings. So how can 3 players instill a losing attitude. Its all about gelling, Crawley had 9 new faces on too...guess they just had the rub of the green. But by the end of the month it might well be a whole new world as the players get to know each others ways... and I still believe we have not finished in the transfer/loan market yet. As long as we finish above half way this term then I will be ok with that....this is a total re-build, you need to be patient.... just like me.
Re: sorry fella but I think thats wrong I'll be more than happy with a mid table finish and signs of foundations being laid and progress being made. Anything more is a tad unrealistic I reckon.
Let's face it offspring, you never wanted Danny back so maybe you are satisfied today. Chill, yes it was carp today but give em time.
They need time and maybe lita will make a difference Wilson deserves a fair crack of the whip and will get it. Cause Mid table will do me this season and a sign we are playing entertaining football should help Wilson's cause. We have to break away from this losing mentality though. No interest in midweek game but let's go to Crewe and give the fans something to cheer about.
