Anybody who gives him stick tommorow should be ashamed of themselves. He was probably the best defender ever in a Barnsley shirt (certainly in my time of watching the Reds) Him and Glavin were the reason why i started then kept watchin the Reds when i could have supported any other team. Them two made me come back again and again and the club owes a debt to these players. Anyone not old enough to remember them ask yer dads how good he was. Not only that hes a true honest gent. Though i fully expect him to be kicking every ball for Wolves tommorow and so he should be. Personally id have him back as manager tommorow and to be honest with the current state of defending have him back as a player. All the best to Mick (after tommorow of course) PS SM is full of S**t!
post of the day mate macca was one of the most solid consitent and honest players i have had the joy of watching ,hard as forkin nails never gave an inch fought for every ball and was prepared to die for the team,so any w a n k e r who would refuse to applaud him on his return to the club just cos he wouldnt loan us a player should f u c k o ff and become a wendy fan cos thats their mentality too.........
One of our all time greats And surely no one would even think of giving him anything other than a great welcome. Seem to remember he was quite a good CENTRE HALF
Seconded / Thrirded etc Mick McCarthy was superb for us. How many players have we had that went on to such heights and still speaks in a TARN (c) Nudger, ACCENT.
Here here, great player to watch and respect I beleive he was player of the year three times in a row wasn't he.....Macca and Johnny Saunders......I have to get my book out tonight and relive the past......
Been reading wikipedia instead of privatefeeds. I can now have an informed ****.
I think they call it a posh **** round here.

Let's hope not After the Minutes silence debacle last week - anything could happen. I will be applaudiug loudly, so hopefull any nutters will be drowned out....
Super Mick Mac made his debut in 1977/78 and was an ever present, 46 games, scoring 1 goal, John Saunders was also ever present that season. It wasn't until Jim Iley was sacked and Allan Clarke came in the following season that things really started to get exciting ..... F*ck me I've turned into Paul.d - I'd better have a drink and relax .... (no offense Paul!)
Had one already Missus out round town with mates. Hope they don't all pile back and want servicing as I simply can't be bothered.
If they all pile back there'll be plenty of mouses earholes, so hold the mice. Meanwhile, i'll be happily typing messages to people I don't know, so you're more than welcome to keep em occupied.
Sheer ignorance. Those who don't applaud obviously never saw him play and have no idea of the sort of player he was for us. Glavin and Macca are two of BFC's finest.
