"They're a League One club that got promoted and their fans need to understand that."
He continued: "As much as they have a lot of history and they've had some great players, the bottom line is they've come from League One and they need to consolidate this season."

Jay Bothroyd - new Tarn hero.

I had the misfortune of sharing a table with Bothroyd just before we played you at Oakwell, he was our sponsored player, i've never known a footballer more disinterested in being at a club function, add that to his general attitude and you can see why some of us have little or no time for him, he was arrogant beyond that of any player i've met.

Sadly players like him are the norm in the game as opposed to the likes of O'Grady and Prutton who spent the evening getting involved and looking like they give a s**t.

I heard the interview this morning and I thought it was a belting interview. Bothroyd spoke a lot of sense that the deluded idiots at Hillsborough would be well advised to listen to.

spoke to him "very briefly" in barnsley train station just after he'd scored the winner v's us, think it was only a month or 2 later he got picked for england!
seemed a nice enough bloke, i mean most "stars" wouldn't be seen dead in tarn train station waiting for northern rail to pick them up!

think that could have something to do with he never fitted in, he wasn't fully fit to start with, he's always had an eye for goal, but most yorks folk like to see them sweat blood if the goals don't come, and i've always found the owls think they're a cut above the other 4 s'yorks teams in class terms, still hate the blunts more though!

I dont, the Wednesday fans are the most arrogant , patronising set of idiots I have ever met! I meet fans of both sides in Sheffield nearly every day and the Unitedites are by far the better of the 2 !

The bit that got to me about Bothroyd was when a little girl, must have been 6/7 years, old brought him a Christmas Card, she had done them for most of the squad (poor old Prutton missed out) and he casually just left it on the table when he shot off about 9.15ish.
