Over a million for Butterfield is going in next years accounts, Davies £300,000 will also be pending for future accounts, if we stay up that should cover any shortfall. I think the crowds have bottomed out so l'd expect the same hardcore 7,000-8,000 next year so no huge losses there even if they are down a little. So from a £3 million transfer l'd expect a couple of big signings in the summer and not a couple of £100k-£250k signing and some statement about the rest being spent on a load of free transfers wages.

If Stones goes its essential we get 2/3 very good players in and not any gambles from the lower reaches, some of which have worked and some haven't. I don't want a season of us harping on that we've got no money for players, scoreboards, season ticket marketing campaigns etc..

If we go down it could be a completely different ball game, on and off the field.

A conversative estimate this month would suggest that we've brough in an additional £3.35m this month.

Should just about cover next year's drop in revenue.

Looking forward to the begging letter.

A few but at this rate we aren't going to see them play 50 games in a Barnsley shirt, l remember the days when PC used to say his wish was for 11 barnsley lads in the starting eleven...

I might change my mind in the summer once I've calmed down but as I feel right now it will be going straight in the bin.
