the more I think we just made a monumental mistake. The irony being that the very people who voted for this are the ones who will be most affected ... and for what... so we can convince ourselves we are a world force .... what have we really gained? I hope i'm wrong, but at best we have embarked on a very, very risky path

Great Britain at risk of a break up, which puts our position on the security council at risk,
It raises the spectre of thee troubles in Ireland flaring up.
Mortgage repayments rising ... repossions & negative equity
    Unemployment rising
    Workers rights diminishing

It feels like I imagine a parent feels when their offspring decide to marry someone you know isn't right for them. There's nothing you can do about it, you just pray that the pain isn't as big as you think it will be.

It's a hell of a shock even for me as a Leave voter...we will get over it...we will pull together...and whatever happens it is the will of the people .

Can I just ask, how are you, personally, going to 'make this work'? You don't even live in this country!

Sorry, despite thinking that this would be the result I find myself feeling a bit gutted this morning... I'll come round .... :D

That said it won't be up to us as to whether or not this works ... for the economy the financial institutions will decide that, for the break up of the UK, well Scotland & Ireland will decide that .... our (England) place on the security council will be decided by others ... Workers rights, social welfare, well unless some new socialist party comes along that will be decided by the Tories (Without Scotland Labour couldn't hope to win an election in England). It could well be that we won't need to worry about the borders as we just won't be an attractive proposition.

your right, it is the will of the people ... so what will be will be. I just don't think people fully understood the consequences and went with a kind of a gut feeling.

Just one more note to add, if we lose our AAA credit rating (which now appears to be a possibility) the £350 million to EU will be more than replaced by a bigger interest bill, which we will now pay to George Soros and his mates who incidentally do not give rebates
