I particularly liked how we ended up away from home... whithout having a fecking clue how they'd come to that conclusion!
It will never be like the FA Cup Because the FA Cup is taken seriously. The League Cup is for the kids.
RE: Right farce So it's a seeding system where Leeds of league 1 get a home game against Watford who came about 18th in Championship last season, but Barnsley of the Championship have to play away to a side who were in last season's Championship play offs? I see.
Its not the seedings that bother me... its the "Leeds get to play at home against...." and the "Barnsley will be away against..."</p> How? Why? What happened to decide that?</p> 2 baskets. Seeded teams in one. Unseeded in another. Take it in turns to pick a home team. Simples. </p>
I missed it - but how did it work then Did some teams get guaranteed home ties or did they alternately draw seeded and unseeded teams as the home team Had intended to watch it but it got put on early (
The fact we have seedings bothers me. why - its a cup competition. Not knowing or being able to play anyone is what its all about.
Basically, we we're told whether the unseeded team would be at home or away... and then Le Tiss would draw a seeded team to see who they faced.</p> However, no mention of how they decided which unseeded teams were at home/away.... </p>
Re: The most random cup draw i've ever seen! Jesus. WTF was that all about? nt where watford the lowest ranked seeded team
Just counted up half the home teams were seeded And half werent so they must have had some system. Really cant see why they couldnt draw the home team alternately from a seeded /unseeded bag though
They said that they "pre-drew" them! They drew the unseeded teams and then drew out whether home or away....they've done this for the last few years
Ah right. Then it was home away home away home away from there on. Its still ***** and even though its not it feels fixed in some way.
