Yes I know. I found that out a few weeks ago when I did my "research". I couldn't be bothered to post it on here cos it seemed so stupidly expensive. For those interested it is only available from ITV archives, not Yorks TV, and there appears to be only one bloke who sorts it. I hope Jimmy Cricket has been able to find his vhs copy...... any of you know him please ask him.
If a few of you want it why don't you all club together then cut copies - in a non-illegal type way, obviously...
The programme is part of the BFI collection at the National Media Museum in Bradford. You can go into the museum's 'hub' on the top floor and watch it for free. Trip up there on the train will cost a lot less than £75/95, but you'll only be able to watch it rather than have a copy to take home.
May be a bit of a long shot (I don't know the programme at all) but have you tried the director? My friends and I were looking for a film a while ago which turned out to be rare and expensive ("the 'Citizen Kane' of boxing shrimp movies", set in Tamworth). The only place we could find copies available was Japan, and we we almost going to club together to buy a copy when somebody had the bright idea of emailing the director and explaining our plight - he just put a copy in the post to us.
Sweet, I'm going on a school trip there a week on Wed. The kids won't mind if I leave em for a bit to go watch it, will they??
