I've heard it reported in a few places that it had a release clause, so did agreeing the new contract actually make it easier for Hecky to leave?
He changed his agent jist after the forest speculation. Mansfords former company in led to believe.... Contract has a release clause, its not a high figure either.
No problem. It's a rolling contract, so he's effectively got 5 months left on his deal. What is that worth? Nothing. He wants the job, he's off to Leeds tonight. We'll get pennies.
Well according to a bbc report I have just read , its £500 , 000 which is more than the reported compensation received for Little Lee
Which is pennies. He's a massive asset, every time a gaffer is sacked he becomes the favourite. He needed to be tied down to a long term deal that had a bigger realise clause.
To be honest ,, I am Hecky"s no 1 fan so I will be gutted if he goes but by his own admission , he has said several times in interviews that compensation for managers is 6 months salary & if that is the case his salary must be in the region of £1 million a year which is pretty decent & having just negotiated his contract , you can only presume he must have wanted a buy out clause therefore I see no reason to fault the club over this
My understanding of a rolling contract is 12 months from any given day. If what you say is correct it makes zero sense
nobody is better or bigger than the club and a poor manager shouldn't be left to spoil that.......... Can anybody tell me what good things apart from wembly 2 years ago have come from Hecky I cant remember anything
he is a nice bloke and all that and is one of our own but don't let that cloud your judgement he just isn't up to it
