I think the board should be considering a bloke who would be able to get us straight back up from league 1. Because right now that is a very very real probability if not an inevitability. So to me the guy who can tick that box is the winner. Obviously we also want to get a man who stop us going down there, but we need a fella who can bounce us back too. In a few days the January window is open, if we bugger about getting a new manager then we could miss out on that.Also we may well be without a few of our existing loanees not to mention contracted players too.This new managerial appointment to me has to happen very rapidly of we are to stay in this league.OR let Flicker do it till the end of the season with the current squad and keep any money for next season and the next manager.

yes I agree Marlon but they have a manager still in place, and he is a decent manager despite that teams place. He will have targets in the window, also his team have had a bit of a rally...starting when they played us. Now on the other hand , we have a caretaker manager.We are just a few days from the window, what board in their right minds would allow a caretaker to make any moves at all in the transfer window. We are perhaps right now the most nailed on relegation team.I know that nobody wants to hear that , me too, but thats the way it is. What we do need to look at right now is next season, if we survive then thats fantastic.. but if not then we need to make sure the new manager is one who can give us a very very above average shot at getting straight back up again.So unless we appoint this coming week then I hope we keep any funds available until next season.
Re: yes I agree Marlon Yes I agree in part ,Dave Jones is indeed a good manager at championship level but he's miscalculated his squad and will be struggling to make a big impact in the transfer window IMO.tbf sidibe has made a good addition but the three teams that they have played since us were also struggling for form and were lucky even against them. If we can pick up more or less straight away I think we can surpass Wendy and hopefully out of trouble IMO posh are down but bristol could go either way with the players they've got. I know its all speculation but my fingers are firmly crossed because if we go down this season or next we will become a yo yo club being able to get promotion but never able to get established really hope I'm wrong.
