We'll never out sing anyone when we're the home team. FACT

Compare that to the pretty amazing vocal support at Watford and PNE...miles apart!

That's why I prefer going to away games now. Still got the season ticket but you can't beat the likes of atmosphere at PNE.

atmosphere at oakwell has never been the same since all those who suddenly became interested in the tykes when we got to the premiership bought season tickets!

    RE: a load of ****

PNE was better in my opinion.

Though I was going to say besides Chelsea when I wrote it out.

Fact is, league attendences/atmosphere at home is terrible

yes but 6000 of them were part timers!!! the 9000 week in week outers offer little atmosphere, thought we were talking about the league here!!!!

Agreed, hence why I've been to a lot more away games than home this season.

I haven't seen/heard a better atmosphere than at PNE in a long time. EVERYBODY was singing, and it was pretty much non stop

    RE: Which 5?

I only went to Wembley and Wednesday out of those, but thought the Wednesday atmosphere was pretty good.

PNE...Watford...Norwich stand out for me in terms of good support/noise from away games

Aye of course a decent result will always improve the support. But then we have one of the best home records, and must be one of the worst for atmosphere at home games

9 away games before I saw the 1st Away goal this season! Then 6 in 3 games.

I don’t think I’ll be getting a season ticket next year.

I just don’t enjoy going to Oakwell any more. I was home for 10:40 yesterday as I left well before full time but I’m fed up of driving through to watch rubbish. A decent atmosphere makes a difference but you don’t even get that.

Think I will swap home games but then go to every away game instead. At least there’s something to enjoy about those.

Away support can sometimes be better like at Luton last season and at Wednesday when Heckingbottom got sent off but down at Swillsboro this year it was poor as it was up at Newcastle and at Birmingham last term but Anfield was simply amazing. I guess it's just what mood we're in on the day and how the boys perform!

I dare say it couldnt have been much fun for Colchester fans all 103 of em that came up on a blustery Tuesday night or for those die hard reds that trecked down to Plymouth in midweek two seasons on the trot but I bet they made the most of it!

    Roll on Cardiff :p

I've done the opposite. Used to sit in family stand with my Dad, as you said great view, but when I started going by myself, I would always choose the ponty - only stand that ever makes any sort of noise
