sorry to take this out of Pompey_Reds OP , but I feel quite strong here. I would ask Pompey_Red if he has approached the subject with the Great man... I think not. Norman is what Barnsley Football club is about... what it has been, what it is, and hopefully what it will be. Its why I love the club. Yes LOVE... I criticise, moan, gripe etc etc but thats every mans right. But what we have in our history is something we all should be proud of, and something quite unique in Norman. I seriously think Mr Rimmington would not want to entertain the suggestion of a stand with his name on at all. He is from an era that knuckled down and got on with things no matter what adversities were going on around. Awards, ceremonies.. whistles and bells would mean very little to this fantastic man.
No i havent. the club can do that if they see fit. a petition isnt going to change anyone at the clubs mind. its just a notion of (some) fans feeling.. feel free to start a counter petition. lighten up.... and sign up https://www.change.org/en-GB/petiti...er-state-and-name-a-stand-in-his-honour#share
