    The original plans for the North Stand was to mirror image the Ponty End stand.When digging out the footings the contractors had to go deeper than first thought.It was put to the club that because they had to go deeper they could actually build a bigger stand with an increased capacity going from 4000 to 6000 for no extra cost. I just thought I'd share this with you.All the information came from Stuart Manly who was stadium manager at the time.

    Someone told me yesterday that the north stand was an exact copy of the away end at West Brom. Dunno how true
