The Oakwell Pitch

    Last night I was sat in the upper tier straight up from the 6 yard box. As soon as we got to our seats you could see, where the 18 yard line met the goal line a very rough looking patch, bare patches all over. I think there is a serious problem now with the pitch in that area especially as the pitch hadn't been used before last night. Did anybody else see it?

    It was from where they put the training goalposts up, Alnwick and Steele also seemed to be pointing at it. Quite worrying to see it tear up so easily after 2 games but other than that the pitch looked fantastic.

    We have only played one game on it we played the other game on the U21's pitch

    I said straight away it looked dodgy. Like a threadbare carpet in places. I think we'll have problems with it again this season
