Just watched it. Not too bad although I'm not a big fan of Leiv Schreiber.
Sticks religiously (no pun intended)to the original apart form 2 scenes.
One big thing that is missing though is the music score.
Given a choice between the 2, I would take the original.
Anyone else seen it yet?

I really wanted to hate it 'cos I'm a huge fan of the original. Thing is, it is the original in every way apart from the score, so I ended up enjoying it despite my best efforts not to.
Loved it Often originals are much better, but this is deffo on par. They haven't overdone the effects, but put what better effects there is nowadays to very good use. The hanging scene from the roof is fantastic. Scary dog made her do it.
I also think Liev Schreiber is a top actor, very underrated. Thought he was great in the Scream films.

Would have liked to have seen what they did with the 'falling out of the hospital window' scene. I suppose they just went for the easiest option. Fall from the bannister was just as good and the decapitation bit was hauntingly realistic (hope David Thewlis is okay!). I didn't say Leiv Schreiber wasn't a good actor, I just said that I wasn't a fan.
Sorry, was thinking of wrong film But in case anyone's not seen The Exorcist in 30 seconds re-enacted by bunnies . . . http://www.angryalien.com/0204/exorcistbunnies.html
