    Some of our clubs have local historic buildings/landmarks on their badges.
    They can't do that cos we flattened them all during the war.

    The Germans I've met during my football trips have been fun with a sense of humour too. It's almost as if the stereotype is inaccurate ;)

    During my time in Germany I made two trips to Berlin and found the place a fascinating city. Never forget the tourist bus city tour commentary. We were on the open top deck and she kept pointing from side to side with comments like "Here was the magnificent [insert building name], but now NOTHING LEFT". This sentence was on a repeat loop and you just felt like getting up and saying "You started it, fraulein!!
