I know this will not be popular to some members but the Ora Band did create an atmosphere that some times is lacking at home matches. Stronger Together it might just do the trick. BRING BACK THE BAND. By the way I wasn't part of the band that's not my motive for bringing it back just something to create an atmosphere.

I think that is a good idea

but there will always be some miserable t**t who hates it and kicks up a fuss about going to football to watch football not listen to some band. We need to do something to create a bit of atmosphere it has died so much in the last 10 years, we used to be known for our passion and noise but now that only seems to happen at away games and at home we are always out sung and out cheered by the away fans or at least that is how it seems from where i am in the east stand.

No thanks, pain in the arse .............

........ it managed to kill any atmosphere that was there, not improve it.

They can put it behind me in the ponty when the directors etc. have had it behind them for a full season in the West Stand

The ORA band did not make us loud and passionate ....

I don't think it was so much the idea of a band that was embarrassing

It was more the fact that it was made up of 3 trumpets and a drum, none of them could play a note and they only ever attempted one song. If you could call playing one line over and over a song.

    Yes.

And folk had sat in those seats that were 'set aside' for the ORA band since it was built.

The club cannot 'manufacture' atmosphere. That comes from performances on the pitch.

Where abouts in the stand did they sit? I can remember hearing them but can't remember where they were sat. They were bad though

So not only were they a rubbish band

but they were put in the worst possible place. Nice.

If we were to have a new band they'd have to make sure it was a group of people that could actually play and were able to mix it up a bit with new songs. Oh and then stick them in the corner between ponty and west or something where nobody sits

I'd stick them at Lands End.

I don't think its a band we need, there's a lack of bonding between the club ( owner, manager and players ) and the supporters from before the Prem
days. The breakdown of live interviews on radio sheffield does not help. Gerry Taggart's jig seems like a distant memory.

I always liked them. Thought they created a real good atmosphere. Got people up for matches. i missed them when they went. Having said that, I wasn't sat next to them at the match.
