http://leytonorientforum.co.uk/topic8748.html?sid=a631cbbef6175877f0af27e0181d0610 Seemingly vulnerable defending set pieces. Have lost every midweek home game this season. Poor record against form and top teams. Nailed on defeat for us then.
Ah....here's a good one: "Just rolled into E10. Couple of (already) reasonably drunk Barnsley fans outside Tesco. I wonder if he will try to smuggle in his 1/2 bottle of whisky he just purchased ?" This was posted just after 5pm so is this character planning on downing the whole bottle himself in the next two hours? These are the kind of people I'd rather not even share the same planet with, never mind football team. All those comments since Saturday on the lines of "oh the drinkers won't be out in force on Tuesday" are clearly wide of the mark. With a bit of luck the wall to wall CCTV will have monitored him all the way and he will be prevented from getting into the ground. On the other hand he could be one of those hardened drinkers who can absorb it by the bucketload and not look as though they have had any. Either way, pathetic excuse for a human being!
Bit harsh mate. Weve all got a cross to bear. Just because someone likes a drink, doesent make them a bad person. Way you talk you'd think they were a peeda or summat. When me and my pals used to go to most away games, we took every opportunity to get some ale darn us, but we never caused bother. chill and enjoy the game mate and good effort for going .
Since when was having a drink against the law? As long as he doesn't cause anyone any harm, leave him to it.
No, you missed my point. For one thing I am not there - I am quoting from the Orient forum. I have no problem with drinking. I've never been a big drinker, despite some of my colleagues trying to "educate" me at German and Middle Eastern RAF postings. What I don't like is the effect that excess alcohol has on a lot of people, and not just at football. It's an anti-social activity. Your right to disagree, obviously, but I'd rather not have a mob of well-inebriated fools interfere with my enjoyment of a train journey, a football match or anything else. I know it's hard to avoid but there is still no excuse for it. But who am I? Just a normal human being out to enjoy life, including supporting my football team for the past 53 seasons.
You've never noticed those metal signs on lamp posts around towns then? He'll get picked up if he spotted quaffing a half bottle of whisky walking down to Brisbane Road. Just like a street tramp would.
Dont get me wrong, people in drink can be annoying and im not a drinker either but all i was trying to allure to was a bit of a numpty who likes a beer cant be described in the terms often saved for people who commit multiple murders or have a penchant for inappropriately touching kids.
Yes, in those places that are designated alcohol exclusion zones. That's not everywhere. Don't see how having a drink makes him a pathetic human being either way.
