Anderson de Silva has joined Barnsley on loan. The Brazilian midfielder hasn't figured in any of Everton's opening three Premiership fixtures and his stay on Yorkshire is scheduled to last until at least 27th September. de Silva signed a one-year deal at Goodison during the summer but despite netting a late equalising goal in a friendly match against Werder Bremen he has found first-team openings difficult to come by. Everton assistant manager, Alan Irvine, said: "Anderson needs some match practice and experience and he's not getting that chance here just at the moment. "It's a good chance for him to play some regular football and, of course, it gives us a chance to watch him as we do all our loan players. "The door certainly isn't closed for Anderson and we look forward to having him back here at Goodison at the end of next month." The Tykes have drawn one and lost one of their opening couple of Championship fixtures and de Silva will go straight into their squad for Saturday's Oakwell match against Plymouth Argyle.
