Thought they'd packed in. If memory serves they were the next big thing around the same time as Franz Ferdinand. Never heard one of their songs but I used to work with the guitarist's dad and that was enough to put me off. He was a trainspotter who hated football and football fans. I think that speaks volumes.

    Agreed

You can always tell how good a band are by the hobbies of the guitarist's dad.

George Harrison's dad liked collecting bottle tops. No wonder they were a bunch of talentless nobodies.

He was a bit of a knob though. And I don't like indie music.

They've just released a new album after about 5 years of silence.

Each to their own but I love em.

They're only indie in its dullest, 2005 form. Much like Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks, all that dirge. Never a patch on the Cribs either, just a cheap imitation with none of the ideals.

    Re: Agreed

Well before 2005, indie bands were bands who signed to independent labels, but post-2005, indie bands are bands that have perms and hold guitars and sing about girls rejecting them in a variety of locations. I hope this has cleared that up.
