I think our Lee has a point - it makes it difficult to play decent football. Ball was bobbling all over the pitch. Watching Chelsea v Man U you can see they're playing on a carpet. A world away from the Well. It's only a matter of growing grass innit?
We don't have the players to play decent football at the moment. But when we do then a decent pitch is essential.
We would be better trying to polish the clouds the ball spends more time up in the air than on the ground.
Well I agree we have done that far too much all season. But maybe if the ground was better then we wouldn't need to.
I thought the pitch looked the best it has since last year today. Looked to me like they had done something to it, but the good weather will have helped. Looked more green, less muddy, less bobbly and that it didn't appear to be watered unless I missed it helped.
It is not a good pitch. Maybe a bit better but not good. A two touch pitch in the heavy traffic areas. Miles better than years before. But look at Chelsea's grass and surface. Creating a decent pitch can't be budget breaking.
I thought it looked a lot better pre-match, a lot of grass has grown, but you could tell its not a flat surface with the way the ball bounced at times.
Load of old arse. Nowt wrong wi pitch. Playing square balls, long balls, 2 yard triangles til you lose the ball and refusing to shoot. There's your problems..
One of any managers favourite excuses when the amazing football he promises doesn't materialise. LJ seems a very switched on bloke, I can't help but like him, want him to do well etc. He talks an amazing game. But he's struggling to crawl never mind walk, so far. Starting to think Bunny and Hecky got that run going, then LJ's influence took over..
