Licence application has gone in and the police aren'y going to object. (They objected on the grounds of the size of the concourse on previous occasions).
Scoreboard business plan has been put together which will include new plasmas on the concourses. Havent got a date on it yet but its in the pipeline.
All good news. SKY on the concourses, video advertising, beer served in main stand, young uns on decent contracts etc. We might be turning a corner. Just let Don know though that despite his modernisation no one wants a roof on the west stand bogs. That's sacrosanct.
"And to pay for all this, we'll be selling Luke Steele, Craig Davies and John Stones this January." - Don Rowing I'm joking, obviously.....
Cheers - good news for Ipswich game, we hope Only Oakwell with its vast concourse would have been rejected in the past. These people never had a beer in some of the lower league and London grounds?
Im surprised at this, this is SY Police that have granted Bramall Lane and Hillsborough tiny concourse's a license? And the New York stadium who's concourse is one of the smallest i've ever seen in a football ground?
when will they get a new pump for beer in preedy,s bar if were spending money, cos lass who has to hold the barrel in midd air when sumdy orders a pint is getting knackered.
One of the few things that hadnt changed from the very first time I went to Oakwell were the bogs in the West Stand - now they have a roof its just not the same not a high priority issue though Sky and bars open before the game has to be a good thing I would have thought
