Dear Tim Thank you for your e-mail. I can only put onto the Official Website what the players say and I am not interested in making up or changing their comments because individuals do not like to read what the lads have to say. The players may have under performed results-wise in the last few local derbies but I do not think you can question their pride or passion or their determination to put that right this weekend. I have sent a copy of your e-mail to our manager, Simon Davey, and advised him that maybe he should inform the lads to talk about not being bothered about beating Sheffield Wednesday this weekend and how the game has no importance to them and to Barnsley community. However, as this would not be the case I believe that supporters would prefer to read the players being honest about the game rather than ignoring the importance of it to Barnsley supporters and the Club.
Beating Wednesday Would Be Nice......... but it's still only three points, as it would be if we beat a team like Colchester for example. As long as we stay up and finish above them, it won't be so bad. Doncaster Rovers were obsessed with beating us and yet failed in the other 44 games. We went up and they didn't. Too much pressure is put on local derbies.
i agree dreamboy 100 percent theres 40 odd other games in a season, and ya get the same amount of points for beating sheffield wendsday as you do beating blackpool.
RE: Beating Wednesday Would Be Nice......... but everyone moans about the stay-away fans who only come when we play Wednesday, and they won't be coming again (assuming we didn't have an FA cup run) if we play poorly in the local derbies.

That sort o talk gets on me nerves,if its written, tele radio or wot were just waisting our time listening to a footballer do an interview,boring. an another thing whilst am on,do you agree every time a new player arrives he always mentions fantastic facilities,again boring.
