can travel down Friday morning. If the game was played on the Saturday would have to go Friday afternoon and pay for a hotel.
I reckon I'm the only one happy with the switch then! I work in the City, near Liverpool Street station. It's payday, dress down day, quick pint after work, train to Southend, watch the match and back into London for last orders, whilst we're the only team through to the fifth round. And it saves the arguments the next day when I want to spend the day on the beer/at the footy.
I knew there was something I didn't like about you Fly back from Sweden Friday night land at heaathrow 10.30pm
Friday night suits Barnsley because we ... ... are playing Colchester at home the following Tuesday, Colchester are out of the Cup and have a free weekend and therefore will be fresher than us. Playing on Friday night gives the players an extra day's rest - I'm sure we would all put progression up the league ahead of a good Cup run. I sympathise with the supporters who were planning to go but now are unable to make it, but realistically would we have taken that many fans to Southend on the Saturday?
