The reason we lost to Blackpool...

    ... and Ipswich (amongst lots of other reasons) is that we were sitting too deep for long periods and inviting pressure. Granted there is the chance to hit teams on the counter if you can stifle them when they are in your half but that pre-supposes that you can move upfield quickly and stick the ball in the net when you break out. IMO we are better when we attack than when we defend as we tend to 'sit' waiting for the inevitable when we are in front and we are defending. Consequently when teams like Blackpool and ipswich (who both have good, footballing, pacy players) go on the offensive, then we are exposed. We are not strong enough with this side of the game at the moment and our strike force, though improved is still a bit unreliable. I know this is only one angle amongst many others of course....
