............for the first 30 minutes you would have thought the game was being played behind closed doors It was only after we scored that any noise came from the Ponti It was flat and because of this the tempo from the players was flat The Ponti today was garbage............we desperatly need someone in there that can get the crowd going When the crowd eventually got going then the players reponded and started to work for each other Today we got what we all deserved...................ABSOLUTLY NOWT !!!
I thought the vocal support was ***** from the beginning today, could hear the bloody players! How can we comment on donny's support last week?
Was gonna say that. It is the first time I have heard the keepers call at the opposite end. First half I heard Steele shout, definitely. I sit in the Ponty. Could regularly hear the players at times in the middle of the pitch. It is becoming very morgue like in Oakwell, unless we are winning or something goes against us.
RE: We managed to win 7-2 this morning The crowd's backing can cetainly have a big influence on the players. It was poor today - a flat atmospere and a flat, lacklustre performance.
The Ponti is waiting for something good to happen before they get going................. ...................it shouldn't work like that.........we, the crowd, need to be supporting the players by being the 12th man I sit in the West Stand...........it needs a group of supporters to get things going in the Ponti
RE: The Ponti is waiting for something good to happen before they get going................. The players should need no further motivation than the wages they earn and the support of their manager. They are professionals or should be.
RE: The Ponti is waiting for something good to happen before they get going................. yeah but it is good to get behind them and support them vocally. Was dire today, bet its so different tuesday though, we needed the support yesterday more than we do for Tuesday's game.
RE: The Ponti is waiting for something good to happen before they get going................. I agree with what Mr.Nudger says though I don't think it's all the crowd's fault. I sometimes long for a bad refereeing decision as it is often the only thing that will get an Oakwell crowd making a noise. That and TV cameras or a clear 3 goal lead.
When the crowds up it really does help the team. just look at stoke or blackpool. listening to the stoke fans on that first choice (sky sports 1 program ) last night was briliant.
