    because Davey couldn't motivate the team to beat Forest, Charlton, Norwich, Blackpool and Southampton AT HOME.
    A dozen lost points, that would have seen us well clear of danger.

    Don't think it was motivation

    Think it was his team selection and general attitude to games like that. ie " don't lose" - that worked well.

    There did certainly seem to be an attitude that we musn't lose at all costs, rather than let's go out and win

    Trouble is he seems to struggle if that goes wrong and the opposition score first.
